The problem is that many new video games are extremely expensive. Many new titles, such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, NBA2K24 and Madden 24 are in the price range of $60-$100.
Well, for starters, the company who made the game has to make some sort of revenue. These new titles, and many others, aren't based off of in-game purchases, meaning they have to make money somehow. To add on, developers and designers of the game are payed a certain amount, and the company who created the game has to make that money back.
